2009 North Saanich Flavour Trail
August 22-23, 2009
The 3rd annual North Saanich Flavour Trail is a great opportunity for young children to view and experience hands-on activities at some of our local farms. The event takes place at farms, wineries, nurseries, markets and restaurants that promote and sell products produced in North Saanich. Find participating producers at How Many Miles to Your Mouth?

Meet Dora the Explorer - Aug. 21 (12 - 3pm)
Donate a school supply or non-perishable lunchbox food item for Fair Start (providing kids in need with back to school essentials) & receive a ticket to meet Dora the Explorer. Ticket required for photo opportunity. Details available at Customer Service - 595-7154.
Stuff the Bus - Aug. 21 - Sept. 11
Help us Stuff the Bus! Look for the Big Yellow Bus & drop off new or gently used school supplies. In addition to school supplies, donations of non-perishable lunchbox items such as granola bars, cup-a-soup & juice boxes will be collected. Look for the GIANT lunchbox! Your generous donations will help support the Fair Start program by providing kids in need with back to school essentials.

Mayfair Shopping Centre presents free drive-in movies. They will be setting up a giant outdoor movie screen again and offering prizes and concession in the parking lot. Mall is open until 9 p.m. and movie usually starts at that time (after dusk.) Admittance is by pass only; pick up your pass each Saturday prior to that Thursday night's movie, while quantities last.
